Following the establishment of a Morning Star Campaign Committee in Yorkshire, which has brought together labour movement activitists from various trade unions and progressive organisations, there will be the first Yorkshire Regional Morning Star Conference in Leeds in June.

 

Taking the theme of 'Workers of All Lands', the conference will have three sessions around the issues of progressive national movements, the peace movement in Yorkshire and internationally, and against the 'Fortess Britain' project that the goverment are intent on creating, which scapegoats immigrants and creates the climate for racism and fascism to grow.

 

The Conference will take place on Saturday June 14th, from 11am-4pm at the Swartmore Education Centre, Leeds. Already confirmed to speak are Fransisco Dominguez (Venzuela Information Centre) and Rob Griffiths (General Secretary, CPB).
